"Where are the buttons" was the first thing I said and then, "that's it for instructions". Gone are the days of large booklets with install instructions.
Getting this out of the box and everything put together was pretty straight forward, no surprises at all.
While I do not think those non technical people could easily set this up I was able to get it up and running in about 20min. Getting it connected to my home network was A LOT easier than I thought it would be. And following the brief instructions to get it setup, calibrated, and hooked up to laptops and mobile devices was super easy.
The lights that act as indicators for different tings is a really cool touch and gives it a modern style. But without having a cheat sheet to know what the colors mean it could be cause for some minor headaches.
The one negative I have with this is that it uses one cartridge for the color. I would absolutely prefer having individual cartridges so you can better control ink waste.
As far as usage, I have put a bit of regular stadard Word or other documentation through it and all looks as expected. 8.5 x 11 photo paper and 4 x 6 photo paper used a few times so far and the quality is really nice. Did not notice any off or weird discolorations or any dots or pixilation's. Over all very happy with the photo quality.
Scanning on the flatbed is pretty standard. It just works the way it is supposed to.
The dual band WiFi seems to be working well. I have this setup a ways from my router on the next floor and no drops or disconnects to be seen.
To this point I am happy with this. does a great job right out of the box.
