UltraGuard ProMAX Dog Collar - Black
A Positive Adjustment

As fleas have become increasingly adapted to the various chemicals used to protect our pets it has become difficult to find products that deliver what they promise, so this product has been a pleasant surprise. It took a small period of adjustment to move from topical solutions (used previously) to an always on collar. Luckily, my pup has been a trooper and seems to have adjusted to this product within the first few days of use.
When first unwrapping the collar and putting it on my pup, I noticed a slight powdery residue was left on my hands, but as instructed, I made certain to wash my hands thoroughly after I'd secured the collar in place on my dog.
In the days since, I haven't noticed any particular fixation on the collar, she doesn't seem to fuss with it. The fit is adjustable with a double locking buckle and seems secure, but not knowing what to expect, I check it every few days to make certain. And not that it matters greatly, but it's low key profile is somewhat stylish.
I groom my pup daily to check for issues (she's a senior dog) and to help keep her skin and coat healthy. This process includes combing for fleas and other pests. Within 24 hrs of putting the collar on, I discovered 2 fleas on my pup. I was mildly concerned, but had read the literature which states that it can take up to two weeks for the collar to be fully protective. I didn't find any more fleas until roughly day 8. My pup has recently passed the two-week mark of wearing the collar and so far, I haven't seen any others. (I should note that this collar isn't designed to kill fleas "instantly", thus depending on how vigorously you check your pet you may find a flea or two here & there, especially if your pet has recently been outdoors. If left on your dog, these should die off "quickly". If however, you were to find a lot of fleas daily and your house shows signs of infestation, this would translate into a failed product.) I have also noticed a decrease in the amount and frequency of mosquitoes hanging around my pup which is an important part of prevention, also. Altogether, the collar seems to be doing what it's supposed to do. (We don't have many ticks in my urban area, so I cannot say how well this part is working.)
My main concern is whether it actually lasts for 6 months, if so it's a total winner.
I received a free product to test, but all opinions expressed are my own.
